Please join the FBA Young Lawyers Division in kicking off its 2014-2015 YLD Lunch Series!  The series will allow young lawyers to get to know leaders in federal practice and other young members of our professional community.
Our first lunch event will feature the Honorable Janice M. Stewart, a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of Oregon.  Judge Stewart will be speaking about her practice as an attorney and how that led her to become a judge.  She’ll also discuss the experiences she chose to pursue and the professional pro bono activities in which she has been and continues to be involved.  Judge Stewart has been a judge for over 20 years, but before that, she practiced for 18 years in business litigation, real property disputes, employment discrimination, federal and state securities litigation, contracts, negligence, fraud, and attorney malpractice.  Both as a lawyer and as a judge, she has served on numerous committees of the local and state bar associations.
This lunch will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 12:00 p.m.  It is FREE, but please register!  Space is limited!
