Be a part of the dialogue and come join the discussion to consider hate speech in America today. Featuring:

• U.S. District Court Judge Michael Simon kicking off the discussion by highlighting the issues raised in the provacative new book by Professor Jeremy Waldron, The Harm in Hate Speech, which compares the U.S. with other countires.
• Civic leaders commenting on their experiences with hate speech in Oregon.
• Participants contributing to the discussion at their tables using a recommended “civil dialogue” process.
• View exhibit of Lawyers Without Rights: Jewish Lawyers in Germany Under the Third Reich by the German Federal Bar and the American Bar Association. The exhibit is touring the U.S. and ends in Portland on November 8, 2012.
